My Top Face Bases;

Hey all. Here are my top face bases. Bases can be Foundations, BB Creams, Tinted Foundations, Skin Balms etc...

Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in #3 - £27

This is my favorite fuller coverage foundation. It does look natural, and leaves a dewy finish on my skin. Sometimes it does catch some dry skin, so I use a thicker moisturiser when wearing this. #3 is the perfect colour for my skin right now, I doubt I'd be wearing it in summer, though I don't mind as I like a lighter foundation in warm summer days.

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Finland - £27

I love how yellow this tm is. It gets rid of a lot of redness in my cheeks, and I hardly never need a concealer to help the redness when wearing this. Where most tm's leave my face looking 'oily' this soaks into my skin making it look natural and radiant! I love using this in summe as it's very light and takes minimal time to apply. I don't need to apply a moisturiser before using this.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in B10 - £32

I've been using this foundation for over a year now and I'll always go back to it. It perfects my normal skin without making me feel caked in make up. I love how compact it is, so you can alway touch up if needed. When I went away last year, I easily fit this into my beach bag, and applied it after swimming. I have the shade B10 which is very very slightly too dark, but it seems to be perfect for summer. I do apply a very light moisturiser before using this.

YSL Touche Eclat Foundation - B10 - £28

This is the most dewy out of all the face bases. It has buildable coverage. I tend to use this more in winter, as B10 is too light in summer. I think the dewiness would be too much with the summer sun, as I don't need added glow when you get a natural glow from the sun. This is a thicker foundation the Chanel, though it's runnier than the Skin Base. The bottle does annoy me becaue it's not very compact and it does very a considerable amount more than all the others due to it being glass, not plastic.

Origins Plantscripion Foundation in Very Light - £28

I LOVE this foundation. I love how light it is, yet has amazing coverage, I love how compact it is, I love the dewy finish, I love how light it is - I don't love how dark it is... Really! I've got the shades Light Nuteral and Very Light and they're both dark. I've had to mix it with a lighter foundation to make it work. I cannot wait to be able to wear this in summer - I may pick it over my Chanel Foundation, which is a big deal.

  1. Great list! I've tried the NARS TM and really liked it- Finland is a fantastic shade! The Illamasqua base sounds nice too. I'll have to check it out! :)

    1. Skin Base if great for normal to oily skin types. Drier skin types may need more prep before using it. Hope you like it.
